Indian Prairie School District 204 improved its statewide academic standing this week after the release of the 2026 Illinois Report Card. Under the new Profiles of Performance framework, 23 of the district's schools earned the top Exemplary designation. Four schools received an Approaching Exemplary rating, three were rated Commendable, and one school was classified as Developing. No school in the district fell into the lowest Comprehensive category.
The state system measures schools against statewide benchmarks rather than ranking them against one another. English Language Arts proficiency rose to 74.3 percent from 71.5 percent in the previous year. Science proficiency increased to 71.4 percent from 65.6 percent. Consistent attendance climbed to 94.4 percent. District officials identified strong progress by English language learners as a key driver of these results.
