Tracey Bailey secured another term as mayor of Lakeshore on Monday, according to unofficial election results. She received 8,399 votes, outpacing challenger Argo Pace, who earned 1,782 votes, and Sam Sinjari, who tallied 1,399 votes.
Bailey ran for re-election after accumulating 12 years of local government service. Her prior roles include serving as a councillor, deputy mayor, and mayor. The candidate framed the recent election as a continuation of the administrative path she has followed for over a decade.
In remarks following the count, Bailey stated that the margin of victory confirms the town is moving in the correct direction. She described the outcome as a solid win and a humbling mandate from residents. Bailey noted that the result allows her administration to begin work immediately without a transition period.
The mayor cited economic activity during her tenure as a key achievement. She reported that the municipality attracted approximately $100 million in investment over the last four years. Bailey said the city is now prepared for construction projects to commence, a process she described as hitting the ground running on day one.
Her campaign platform centered on three primary goals: infrastructure investment, maintaining affordability, and developing complete communities. Bailey identified these areas as priorities as Lakeshore experiences ongoing population growth.
The unofficial results establish Bailey’s victory in the race. The official certification of the vote counts will follow the initial reporting phase.
