Air defense units in Voronezh Oblast intercepted a total of 113 drones during the night of October 25 and 26, 2026. Governor Aleksandr Gusev provided this figure to Interfax, noting that more than 70 of the targets were shot down directly over the city center. The remaining interceptions occurred in the wider urban area and surrounding districts.

The strikes resulted in fires at several major industrial sites. Ukrainian OSINT channels Supernova+ and Exilenova+ identified the Voronezh Aircraft Production Association, or VASO, as a primary target. VASO operates under the Ilyushin Aviation Complex division of the United Aircraft Corporation and manufactures components for the Ilyushin Il-96 jet airliner. The Voronezhsintezkauchuk rubber plant, part of the Sibur group, was also hit. This facility produces synthetic rubbers and polymer materials.

Gusev stated that the incidents occurred without serious consequences, a claim that differs from reports of extensive damage by local media. He confirmed fires at a business center, an apartment building, two dacha settlements, a school stadium, and a garage cooperative. Debris and blast effects caused damage to building facades and windows in nearly every district of the city.

Russian media outlet Astra provided specific locations for the impacts. Video showed an explosion at the Galereya Chizhova business center at 35A Koltsovskaya Street. Explosions were also recorded near residential buildings at 52A 25th Yanvarya Street and 4K Arkhitektora Troitskovo Street. Further damage was documented at the Uritsky residential complex on 135 Uritskovo Street.

A car park on 275/1 45th Strelkovoy Divizii Street caught fire, with at least ten vehicles damaged in the flames. Readers of Astra reported hearing explosions and air defense operations for over an hour. The city remained covered in smoke throughout the engagement. Residents noted that no formal air raid warning was issued before the attack began.

Local authorities are currently assessing the full extent of the damage to public and private property. The attack targeted key infrastructure in the aviation and petrochemical sectors, marking a heavy aerial engagement for the region in recent weeks.
