U2 will perform a single exclusive concert for BBC Music in central London on Tuesday, November 3. The show will take place at an indoor venue whose specific location remains secret until the day of the event. The band plans to play new songs from their upcoming studio album, Carnaval De Luz, alongside selections from their previous work.

The new record is scheduled for release on Friday, November 13. This performance serves as a precursor to that launch. The 22-time Grammy winners will play for a select group of fans. Tickets are available through a ballot system on the BBC Shows and Tours website. The application window closes at midnight on Thursday, October 29.

Jo Whiley first announced the concert during her BBC Radio 2 program. She noted the band's consistency on stage, stating, "Every time I see U2 perform, they're always incredible, giving 100% to each and every show." Whiley added that she looks forward to sharing the experience with listeners.

The live performance will reach a wider audience through multiple broadcasts. BBC Two will air the concert in late November as part of a dedicated special evening. Radio 2 listeners can tune in on Monday, November 30, from 7pm to 9pm to hear the performance on Whiley's show. That broadcast will include a new interview with the group and will be available on BBC Sounds.

In a separate feature, the four band members will appear on Vernon Kay's BBC Radio 2 weekday program for Tracks of My Years. Each member will select ten songs that have influenced their personal lives and careers. This episode will be available on BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer starting at 6am on Sunday, November 15. It will also air during the week beginning Monday, November 16, on Kay's show and on BBC Two during the concert special.

The concert marks the next step in the band's current cycle. The group will blend archival hits with fresh material from Carnaval De Luz. The BBC confirmed that the setlist will draw from their extensive back catalogue. The undisclosed venue ensures an intimate setting for the limited number of attendees.

Viewers and listeners can access the various segments of this project across the BBC's platforms. The concert special and the Tracks of My Years episode will both air in November. The new album will be available for purchase on November 13. The series of events ties together the release of new music with reflections on the band's history.
