The 77th annual Christmas Gift and Hobby Show has committed a portion of its ticket revenue to local youth services. The event partners with the Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis to fund children's programs through a specific sales channel.

On Thursday, November 12, the show will designate its schedule as Charity Day. For that date, three dollars from every box office ticket will go directly to the club. This financial mechanism supports the organization's mission to serve families in the Indianapolis area.

Tami Bailey, the show's manager, cited the timing and the club's community impact as the basis for the agreement. She noted that the holiday season aligns well with supporting organizations that work with local children. The partnership allows the event to blend commercial shopping with direct charitable contribution.

The show maintains its status as a multi-generational fixture in the city's holiday calendar. Bailey observes that attendees often represent several generations of the same family. Grandparents, parents, and children attend together, creating a continuity of participation that spans decades.

Pam Lozano, director of resource development for the Boys & Girls Club, emphasized the practical effect of the funding. She stated that the partnership helps remove financial obstacles for the families the organization serves. The goal is to ensure that economic status does not restrict access to the club's resources.

Lozano also highlighted the social benefits of community support. She explained that the club aims to make children feel seen and safe. The environment allows young people to engage in childhood activities without the pressure of adult responsibilities.

The November 12 date falls within a schedule that includes other themed days. The show hosts Hero Day on Veterans Day, November 11, followed by Teacher Day. A Girls' Night Out event is set for Friday. Actor Robert Buckley, known for roles in The Christmas House and One Tree Hill, will appear on Friday. Santa Claus will also be available for photographs during the event's run.
